The Leopard Skins Project

Leopard Skins is a  Comic and Animation Company based in Enugu, Nigeria. We are building a new generation of culturally grounded stories for young audiences.

African arts and culture is often under and misrepresented in media.

Africans, especially in the younger generations are losing touch with their culture and identity — languages, traditions, even our core values are lost, mainly because there’s no engaging way to experience them.

“Millions of African kids and teens grow up on stories that don’t look like them or reflect their realities. There are no visual stories on the Igbo Landing , the Ekumeku War, King Jaja of Opobo, the Aba’s Women’s Protest and more.

The result ? A cultural disconnect—and a generation without heroes & stories that feel like home.”

So, what’s our Solution ?

We solve this by building a connected storytelling ecosystem—high-quality comics, engaging animation, and interactive games—all centered on African culture.

We’re not just telling stories—we’re creating worlds our audience can read, watch, and play.

We’ve built a growing community of 1,500+ followers, over 1M impressions across our social platforms. Fans share our work weekly — an we have received messages from Nigerians and the Diaspora,

including the US, UK, France and Brazil to mention a few.

We are leveraging our skills and partnership with  other prominent industry players.

“Our edge is simple— We’re not just building a company. We’re building the future of African storytelling.”

We are not starting — we’re already running.
